Description

Each tour can accommodate up to 4 people, always accompanied by a driver/tour guide. In general the tour lasts about 3 hours in order to cover the following basic itinerary.

Within the 3 hour timeframe you will be able to visit the following beaches around Porto de Galinhas:

• Muro Alto and Cupe

• Maracaípe e Pontal de Maracaípe

Throughout the tour, it is possible to spend some time on the beach and enjoy the sunshine or take part in some of the sporting activities that each place has to offer (taking into account that the duration of the trip is approximately 3 hours).

Before you set off on your tour, make sure that you have packed a camera, sun-protection and if possible, a hat because most of the buggies do not have a roof and the sun in Porto de Galinhas is very strong.

Buggy Tours: with or without driver?

Which are the authorized buggies?

In the same way like a “taxi”, buggys need a license to perform the tour and transport passengers. In order to get this license, the owner needs to go through a process which includes a higher cost and getting some permissions from the goverment and tourism goverment autorities.

To recognize which car have the license (in Portuguese “Credenciado”) you need to check the car plate is RED colour.

Should I book in advance?

Even though it is possible to join in with a buggy tour in any part of the city center in Porto de Galinhas, most of the time and more than ever during the high season, it is a good idea to book your buggy in advance in order to avoid paying higher prices.

Also, it is a really good idea to ensure that the driver will pick you up and drop you back to your hotel at the end of the day too.
