Porto de Galinhas has naturally favorable conditions for diving: generally calm seas and good visibility. It’s a practical experience to explore the ocean floor safely and at your own pace — no exaggerated promises, as everything depends on the conditions of the day. Schedules vary with the tide, as it directly affects visibility and conditions at the reef.

Discover dive — for first-timers The discover dive is ideal for beginners. You don’t need to know how to swim — an instructor stays with you in and out of the water at all times. Children from 8 years old can participate. The experience starts with a 15 to 20-minute theory class at the dive shop. You then board a raft to the dive site. Before descending, there’s a surface adaptation moment so you can get comfortable with the equipment. The dive lasts 25 to 30 minutes, at a depth of up to 6 meters.

Professional dive — for certified divers For those with a valid PADI or SSI certification and prior experience. The professional dive allows for deeper immersions — up to 40 meters, depending on the diver’s profile and daily conditions — including shipwrecks in the area.

How it works

1. Arrival and check-in at the dive shop
2. Briefing, group organization, and equipment setup
3. Transfer to the beach and boarding the raft
4. Activity at sea (approximately 1 hour including travel and immersion)
5. Return to the beach and back to the shop
6. Photo delivery

Restrictions This activity is not recommended for pregnant women, people with perforated eardrums, labyrinthitis, heart conditions, or those in a post-operative period.
